#15 Brainstorm/Ideas

 


                  The film my group is working on is a drama about love and loss. The story is about a married couple whose lives change after a tragic accident. The opening scene starts with a Formula 4 race playing in the television. The husband is a race car driver, and his wife is watching the race from their home. The sounds of the race are loud and exciting, while the wife sits quietly, focused on the screen.

                  During the race, the husband's car crashes badly. The car spins over on the track until it finally stops. As the car is spinning, the sound of the race fades away and we can hear his heart beat loudly while memories pass through his head before he passes away. These memories show happy moments from their relationship, such as laughing together and spending time with each other. This shows the audience understand how close they were.

                  After the crash, it becomes clear that the husband has passed and is no longer breathing. The wife reacts with a deep sadness and shock. She cries and feels very alone. Later in the opening, a neighbor comes to her door and brings cookies to help comfort her. This small action shows how people try to help others during hard times, even when they do not know what to say. 

                  My role in this project would be heping plan the story and showing emotion through scenes and memories while I'm the husband. This film opening is meant to make the audience feel strong emotions and understand the pain of losing someone suddently.

Establishing Shot We have an established shot as we see the interior of the library. Point Of View We can see Yaidelis through the books while she's studying in the computer for her next exam. Close-Up Shot We can see a picture of a close up shot with Yaidelis for her next driver license. Two Shot We can see Gustavo and Yaidelis having a Two-Shot, while they are studying for their SAT. Dutch-Shot (Video) Here we can see a Dutch Video by the angle of the camera, we can see the Spartan symbol getting closer and closer. Over-Shoulder Shot We can see an over-shoulder shot, while Yaidelis is looking for a new book after she finished the other series. Media studies: Devin Romero Mid-Shot Angle Good evening, everyone I wanted to start by saying this picture shows a Mid-shot angle where we can see Santhiago showing his new black alternate shirt for his JROTC Cambridge Program.
